Dear Counselors and Seniors of Yazoo County,

In response to the national pandemic, novel COVID-19, it is with sad regards that Yazoo Community Scholarship Fund Board has decided to NOT award scholarships this year to new applicants. With students not being in school and not having all resources available to them, we feel that the opportunity to apply will not be fair. This is an unprecedented situation that is new to all of us. We are all working to avoid gathering unnecessarily and keep each other safe and healthy.

YSCF has decided to offer the Class of 2020 from all Yazoo County Schools the opportunity to apply in the next application process year of 2021. Please advise your students that if they wanted to apply this year, they can contact Connie Rush at Bank of Yazoo and have documentation of graduation in 2020 next Spring. We will update our Facebook page and website with this information also.

Thank you for understanding and Godspeed.

Yazoo Community Scholarship Fund

A Non Profit Partnership with the Junior Auxiliary of Yazoo City, Bank of Yazoo & The Community

Established in 1974, The Junior Auxiliary of Yazoo City and The Yazoo Community Scholarship fund have helped Yazoo County college students fulfill their dreams. Education for our young people is crucial for Yazoo County youth, so that is why year after year we ask Yazoo County residents to reach deep into their hearts and pockets to help us fund scholarships for deserving students.

YCSF scholarship is offered to all high school Seniors enrolled at a Yazoo County School (Yazoo City, Yazoo County, Manchester Academy, and Benton Academy) with a GPA of 2.75 or higher. Award money is variable depending on charitable donations for that year. Students must be enrolled as a full time student in a Community College or University.

We want to help Yazoo county youth to have the educational opportunities that they need to be able to come back home and make a difference. With over 400 scholarship recipients since we started the fund, our banks, businesses, churches, hospitals, and schools have benefited and will continue to benefit because of this years graduates.

**Applications for 2019- 2020 School Year will be canceled.
